    An arts and crafts fair, lighted boat parade, live musical entertainment and an appearance by Santa are among the special features of the holiday extravaganza.

    The St. Thomas-St. John Chamber of Commerce organizes the event, which also includes special sales and extended evening hours at downtown stores to allow for gift shopping.

    In short, the 14th edition of Miracle on Main Street will retain all the favorite aspects of previous years, chamber executive director Joe Aubain said.

    "Why change a good thing?" he said. "It's become a traditional type event, for 14 years, that people really look forward to."

    This year, however, the thousands of Christmas lights and dozens of entertainment acts will extend west to Rothschild Francis Market Square, which was rededicated in July after its historic bungalow was rebuilt from a 2003 collapse. More>>

    Allco Max Securities & Mortgage Trust announced it issues Standard and Poor's AAA rated senior debt and uses these funds, together with its issued permanent equity, to invest in investment grade rated loans. The Company is a buy and hold investor and has built a loan portfolio with a face value of $903m and a current marked to market value of $869m. The difference between these values represents a notional reduction in carried or reported values to reflect current market valuations with respect to a number of the loan assets Allco Max currently holds. It is for this reason that Allco Max's current NTA is reported as 73 cents per unit.
